SALINE TATTOO REMOVAL
Saline tattoo removal is a method of removing unwanted pigment from skin using a saline solution. Saline tattoo removal is significantly gentler than other forms of tattoo removal. While laser can be very effective for larger tattoos on the body, it’s not always ideal for removing color, especially light colors and pink and red colors. During the procedure, the technician will go over the tattoo in the same way it was performed, but instead of ink, the saline solution will be implanted into the skin. The removal formula starts to act as soon as it is applied to the previous tattoo and a scab will form over the area. In the next few days while the skin heals, the ink will be drawn out from the tissue that regenerates and move into the patchy part of the scab. Some tattoos may remove within one or two treatments, while others remove within 2-8 treatments. The outcome of the procedure cannot be guaranteed due to the following factors: depth of tattoo, saturation, ink used, potential scarring, etc. A minimum of 8 weeks is required between removal treatments for the skin to heal completely. For correction purposes, the tattoo may only need to be lightened to the point that it can be covered successfully. It is mandatory to wait three months after the final saline treatment to get a new cosmetic tattoo procedure over the treated area.
To prepare for the procedure, a topical numbing cream will be applied (more numbing will be applied during as well to keep discomfort at a minimum). While the initial numbing cream is sitting, the consultation will take place. Healing instructions, the brow’s healing phases, and any questions that come up will be covered during this time. For most clients the removal procedure is near painless, uncomfortable at most, and goes by very quickly. The length of the initial appointment is can range from 45 minutes to 1 hour. After the removal procedure has been completed, some clients will experience redness or very mild swelling. Once the numbing wears off it is very normal for the brows to feel a bit sore (similar to a sunburn), but that usually will settle over the coming days.
There is a 5-10 day healing process but going about day to day activities will not be an issue. Taking off work is not necessary and normal life can continue while the area heals.

ELIGIBLE WITH DOCTOR CLEARANCE AND NOTE
If any of the following apply to you, you may be able to receive saline tattoo removal procedures. Providing a Doctor’s note is MANDATORY:
Diabetes: High blood sugar levels can complicate the healing process, with higher risk of infection. It is very important to check in with a Doctor to ensure the condition is stable and under control.
Chemotherapy: Chemotherapy medications can often weaken the immune system. This make the body more susceptible to infection and more difficult to heal. Once cleared from an oncologist, an appointment can be booked.
Thyroid conditions: The color of the brows can fade faster when taken with certain thyroid medications.
Glaucoma: The risk of developing an eye infection can be higher.
High Blood Pressure: Those with high blood pressure may have slightly greater bleeding than normal. Excessive bleeding could cause the ink not to stick properly and lead to poor healed results.
If you have any autoimmune diseases, you MUST have a doctor’s note approving the procedure
